Refer to the quick user guide

The HUB II rotisserie is rated to 40kg / 88.18 lbs.

For even cooking you will need to spread the charcoal in an even layer. You can arrange different levels of charcoal to create different heating zones. Please refer to our YouTube video demonstration for setting up heat zones

Yes, a 10-amp outdoor rated extension cord can be used. It is advisable to use an outdoor rated extension cord with cover for the connection between the HUB II and the extension cord. Extension cords that do not exceed 10m / 32 ft in length may be used. Always check the condition of the cord before use. Never use an extension cord in the rain.

No.

Yes, however, consider the location of the HUB II to assist in reducing the impact of the natural elements and further improve the efficiency of your cook.

The key distinctions between the HUB and HUB II models are outlined below:
• The HUB II is equipped with an electronically controlled up/down rotisserie pole.
• The HUB II offers a slide-out storage shelf that operates on telescopic runners.
• The HUB II is fitted with premium titanium finishings.

For the best results, it is recommended to use natural lump charcoal. The Fast Flame Ignition System™ can also light briquettes, however due to the large variances in ingredients used by different manufacturers, we cannot guarantee their exact ignition time.

Charcoal can be ignited via The Fast Flame Ignition System™.
Charcoal can also be ignited manually with natural fire starters on the unit or lit via a charcoal chimney and transferred into the unit.

Yes.

Once the HUB II has fully cooled, you can safely remove and dispose of used charcoal and ash with a Hot Coal Bin or similar heat-resistant container. If you’re using untreated lump wood charcoal or pure wood, the cooled ashes can be placed in the garden. Avoid disposing of ashes from briquettes or any charcoal containing chemicals, as these are not suitable for soil or plant use.
Using fresh charcoal for each cook is recommended. However, you may reuse leftover charcoal if desired—this will not affect the unit, though used charcoal may retain flavours from previous cooks.

Once cool, clean the HUB II using mild detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth or non-abrasive scourer. Avoid phosphoric-based cleaners; instead, use a gentle bicarbonate soda paste for tougher marks.
The grills, rotisserie rod, and CLIPLOCK™ forks should not be placed in the dishwasher.
Refer to our YouTube cleaning demonstration for step-by-step instructions.

When not in use, the HUB II can be stored outdoors but should be kept under cover and protected with a purpose-made HUB II grill cover. Our covers are water-resistant and made from 425 GSM UV-protected material; however, humidity and condensation may still occur depending on climate. Remove the cover periodically and wipe the unit down to prevent moisture build-up. Ensure the cooking surfaces are cleaned before storing. Always disconnect the power cord after use.

Basic Troubleshooting information on the HUB II can be found within the user manual.

The motor may, on occasion, produce an operating noise. To help reduce this, apply a small amount of lubricant spray into the motor drive shaft before using it for the first time. To help maintain the motor during times of regular use, it is recommended to add a small amount of lubricant spray once a month. To help maintain a smooth rotation, please clean regularly with a damp cloth.
