GAS & IGNITION
How do I ignite my KILN?
Prior to cooking for the first time, turn the main burner on high for 30 minutes, then turn off and let the oven cool down. Once cool, use a paper towel to wipe away any soot inside. Be careful, the oven may still be hot in some places.
Push the main burner knob in and slowly turn it anti-clockwise until you hear it click (8-10 seconds). Hold in for another 10 seconds after ignition, then release. Set the burner to your desired position.
For KILN R Series, repeat with boost burner knob and press the button to activate the rotating turntable.
If the burners do not ignite, leave the knobs at OFF and wait 5 minutes before trying again.
